For 3 years dreamlaser has been co-organizing the Great Rus' festival that blends classical music and multimedia art. The event focuses on the history and national culture of Russia. This year the festival was held on August 12.

Our team produced visual content that accompanied the story underpinning the show. A total of 17 Christie D4K40-RGB laser projectors were deployed. Naked eye screens were used for the first time helping to immerse the audience in a narrative-driven 3D illusion.

Part of our effort integrated green screen shooting into digital content. Actors and ballet dancers were involved in the production.

The mapping for Great Rus' 2023 narrated the life story of a merchant Terenty, who traveled the world, made friends, and went through challenges together with them to finally return home. The roles were played by the actors of the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theater. Sergei Blokhin acted the part of the Elder. The background music of the show included classical works by composers from different countries, including Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Mikhail Glinka, Georges Bizet, Giacomo Puccini, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
