On National Unity Day, dreamlaser adorned the walls of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin with projections.

On one of Russia’s main public holidays—National Unity Day—dreamlaser presented a projection mapping show on the outer facade of the Dmitrievskaya Tower. The project is dedicated to the ideas of unity, generational continuity, and the values that bring the country together. The show’s format comprises four looped 30‑second animations, each revealing a different facet of the overall concept: Roots, Shoulder, Nation, Society, Solidarity, Cohesion, Support, Brotherhood, Friendship, and People.

Symbols of Russia come to life on the facade: the wind ripples the tricolor, above which a golden coat of arms unfolds, radiating a gentle glow. Behind the coat of arms, the flag continues to sway softly, creating a sense of motion and depth. Gradually, a gust of wind “blows away” the fabric—and a scene focused on spiritual origins opens before the audience. The icon of Our Lady of Kazan appears on the facade, framed by a golden ornament. Soft light glides across the faces of the Virgin and Child, filling the space with warmth and serene spirituality.

The narrative then turns to spiritual origins. The icon of Our Lady of Kazan appears on the facade, around which a gold pattern forms. A soft glow passes over the faces of the Virgin and Child, creating a warm atmosphere and a sense of volumetric light. Then a golden riza (oklad) is set upon the icon, adorned with the radiance of precious stones—a symbol of heavenly glory and the spiritual wealth of Russia.

The next scene unites history, faith, and popular cohesion. The Monument to Minin and Pozharsky and St. Basil’s Cathedral rise on the facade. In the background, the Russian tricolor unfurls. The elements of the composition appear in turn, as if growing out of light, emphasizing the people’s heroism and strength of spirit.

The final part of the projection is a festive greeting. A rowan branch—symbolizing memory and the resilience of the people—appears before the audience. Behind it, the sky opens, embodying peace, freedom, and the unity of all Russia. The letters of the greeting emerge gradually, growing out of the background, while the rowan branches gently sway in the wind. In the finale, the Russian flag covers the composition, and the projection returns to the first scene.

The festive mapping will be on view on November 4 on the Dmitrievskaya Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin
