A new multimedia exhibition by dreamlaser studio opened in Sevkabel Port, St Petersburg on July 7. Love&Noise is an art show about love, one of the strongest feelings that has a world of interpretations.
The exhibition consists of six installations, each offering the viewer enough space to ponder on different aspects of love and reflect on the most unifying theme of all. Love&Noise encourages shared contemplation over perennial issues. All the six installations have been designed for the exhibition and are displayed for the first time. One of the works stems from collaboration with media artist aizek.live. He authored generative visuals and sound for the LOVE installation. Another installation called MONUMENT appeared in collaboration with Anton Gorbunov from Liars Collective.
The exhibition took three months and a team of 15 to put it together.
Installation 1 / MONUMENT / Co-authored by Liars Collective
MONUMENT describes an encounter with love, a big and inscrutable feeling, inspiring and awe-inducing. Inflating, deflating, subsiding. A never-ending loop.
Installation 2 / WALKING
This is a transition zone that brings visitors to all the other parts of the exhibition. Every step made here seems unobvious and barely reliable because of rueful feelings about something that has not yet happened. 4 Kvant lasers.
Installation 3 / THE WALL
When in love, every obstacle seems a minor issue. THE WALL zone can help you let go of endless ruminations and go with the flow. LED screens on the floor and the ceiling, smoke, and beams of volumetric light that move and interact with each other.
Installation 4 / THE WHY
Overwhelming emotions, anticipation, anxiety, dreams, illusions. THE WHY is a place where you can finally ask yourself long-standing questions and find harmony. 55 lights on the walls and the ceiling.
Installation 5 / FREAKS
Love gives us every reason to go a little crazy. In the FREAKS zone you are free to let yourself go and experience unreasonable joy. Four furry figures and light projections.

When do we finally find the true love? What we know for sure about love is that it can bring harmony. We are at peace when we love and are loved. Try to strike a balance when you are in the LOVE area. A curved LED screen and mirror floor.
