On April 2, Nizhny Novgorod participated in recognising the World Autism Awareness Day with a Light It Up Blue campaign. As a symbol of understanding and acceptance for people with autism, nine architectural landmarks of the region turned blue. In support of the cause the dreamlaser studio lit up the buildings of the Mayak sewing factory and the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.

Other landmarks that glowed blue on that day were the Fedorovsky Embankment, Kremlin, Kanavinky Bridge, TV-tower, Nizhny Novgorod Stadium and Shukhov Tower in Dzerzhinsk.
