In October, dreamlaer presented an audiovisual installation in the Postern of the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg. It was exhibited during the Friends of St. Petersburg Festival looking to preserve the city’s cultural heritage and historical identity.
Water is an important symbol that defines St. Petersburg and its course of life. The Flow installation reflects the importance of water in the visual and sensual perception of the city. The image of water is not shown directly, however, instead it is embodied abstractly, in music and generative graphics.
The flow of light generated by diode modules, like an underground spring, comes to life in a 97-meter-long tunnel. Reflecting the power of water and its effects, the installation allows every viewer to join the flow.
