A.R.R.C 2.0 at VDNKh in Moscow
A.R.R.C 2.0 at VDNKh in Moscow

A.R.R.C 2.0 is a multimedia exhibition that will run from October to November 2024 at VDNKh, a permanent exhibition and amusement park in Moscow. A total installation of the same name, familiar to those who visited dreamlaser's TSEH exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod, will be on display in pavilion 55.

A.R.R.R.C 2.0 is a reimagined version of the a.r.r.c installation, created by dreamlaser in collaboration with curator Ksyusha Chekhovskaya and musician Anny Ly for the SIGNAL festival in Prague in 2019. The updated media installation will be featured at VDNKh.

What links A.R.R.C 2.0 to the original version is the central theme of creative evolution and personal revolution, inner rebirth. The core idea remains intact, though it has been given a new interpretation in a larger-scale format.

A.R.R.C 2.0 is divided into four independent zones. By moving between them, visitors have a chance to experience different emotional states on the way to self-awareness and acceptance of personal change. The exhibition route is non-linear, allowing visitors to choose their own path through the installation spaces.

Installation zones:

AIM
The first act of the self-discovery journey takes visitors to a metaphorical waiting room within their own personality. Here they are asked to organize their thoughts and decide on their inner transformation.

REACT
In the second zone of the media installation, visitors come face-to-face with themselves. The REACT zone conveys the tension of inner rebellion and struggle.

The movement and dynamics of the lasers in this zone emphasize the conflict, with the beams directed from the far end of the room toward the entrance, aimed at the viewer.

REFLECT
The process of reflection continues. Visitors search for causes and effects, striving to make predictions, while starting to feel and understand their inner transformations.

CHAOS
In this zone, visitors are confronted with an unsolvable contradiction, reaching a dead end and losing their sense of reality. Flashing grids of small square screens distort the perception of space, with flickering lights disorienting the viewer.

Alongside the feeling of being lost, comes the realization that nothing is set in stone—meaning anything is possible. To navigate through chaos, one must move carefully and stay calm, which may reveal a hidden, more intricate order.
