Dreamlaser participated in the Tavrida. ART festival, a celebration of young multinational art, with a series of multimedia installations.
The concept behind dreamlaser installations at Tavrida was centered on the diversity and vibrancy of national art across Russia. A route was designed, featuring installations at various locations, each dedicated to different forms of folk art. Visitors could arrange their own route, starting at any point and exploring the art objects at their own pace.
Our team worked at six festival locations: Shell, Beacon Mountain, Academy Promenade, Casket in the Art Park, the main stage, and the movie theater.
We placed 20 powerful lasers, 20 projectors and 20 strobe lights along the perimeter of the Promenade. These installations created the visual effects of laser "skies" and laser "ponds."
In the Art Park we focused on enhancing existing objects with multimedia content while also introducing some new installations. For example, the Casket installation highlighted the national jewelry of Russia's many ethnic groups. Traditional designs were projected onto the Shell, transforming it into a large painted figure.
Beacon Mountain featuring video projections and laser beams played a key role in both the opening and closing shows alongside the main stage. We integrated 26 projectors and 8 lasers into the landscape and the beacon structure, showcasing calligraphy and the script of various Russian peoples.
