One week ago, for the first time, we illuminated a building that’s in the process of being demolished. It was the elevators of Nizhny Novgorod flour mill.
This place is important for us as the organizers of the Intervals Fest. Last year the largest installation of the festival with an area of 3,100 square meters was implemented at this place (the project was led by Ksusha Chekhovskaya).
An artist Andrey Berger created a grandiose street art mural. The dreamlaser team together with a musician Maksim Khrychev brought the art piece to life using projection and music.
Now the elevators of factory are intended for demolition as part of the project on the improvement and restoration of cultural heritage.
So, that night, 16 Christie Digital d4k40 projectors quickly returned to their original positions, and the elevators were again illuminated, this time with a 13-minute video installation showing the gradual destruction of the plant's elevators and the inscription “Game over”.
