From August 14 to September 14, the new campus of Bauman Moscow State Technical University hosted “Cloud Cities,” a territory of technological progress within the “Moscow 2030” forum. The event brought together science and contemporary art, inviting guests to glimpse the future of the metropolis.

In an art program curated by Generative Gallery, Russian and international media artists, in collaboration with scientists from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (https://bmstu.ru), created visionary installations that revealed cutting-edge scientific research and reshaped perceptions of the near future.

The company dreamlaser also took part in the exhibition, creating a work about the interaction of nature, technology, and humans. The striking interactive installation “Field” by dreamlaser referenced environmental research. By interacting with the installation, viewers controlled waves of light as if they were a flow of water or a magnetic field, becoming co-authors of the drawing on the lawn. In this way, we aimed to show the close interconnectedness of humans and nature.

There was no intrusion here—only delicate work with what already exists. The lawn, trees, and pathways became part of the light installation. LED rods were embedded in the landscape, and touch triggered a response: touch it, and everything around changes—color, light, rhythm.

The central piece of the exhibition was “Assembly Point 2030” by the media art collective radugadesign. The work was inspired by research in the university’s laboratories related to creating a quantum computer.

In addition, the exhibition featured the studios PANTERRA, STAIN, LYM ART, SA))_gallery, GUTOR PRO, Robohall; the artists Newnome Beautone, Yulia Nizamutdinova (Julia Cyberflora), Kristina Sidorova, Nadya Xyxu; as well as Markos Kay from the United Kingdom, Hayk Zakoyan from Armenia, Haiyu Zheng from China, and many others.
