On May 20, as part of the opening of the ALFA HUMAN arts festival, an opera installation inspired by Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy transformed the iconic Chkalov Stairs into a monumental open-air stage.
Reimagined through architecture, contemporary art, and Baroque music, the production explored the protagonist's spiritual journey toward transcendence. Each terrace of the staircase became a distinct musical tableau, where Dante's vision unfolded through a dialogue between space, light, and live performance.
Dreamlaser developed the production's stage design and delivered its complete technical realization. To bring the large-scale installation to life, the team deployed more than 160 lighting fixtures, 30 strobes, 25 fog machines, and 15 projection systems.
