On May 20, as part of the opening of the "ALFA HUMAN" arts festival, Chkalov Staircase — one of Nizhny Novgorod's main landmarks — hosted an operatic installation inspired by Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy."
The event is a reimagined work translated into the language of architecture, art, and Baroque music. The installation explores the theme of a hero's transformation on an upward path toward a higher purpose. Each flight of the staircase becomes a musical tableau, where the great poet's work gains voice and flesh through Baroque compositions.
Our team developed the stage design and provided full technical production for the event. We utilized over 160 lighting fixtures, 30 strobes, 25 fog generators, and 15 projectors.
